Frequently Asked Question
What is AttenGo?
AttenGo is an comprehensive online cognitive training program that assesses and addresses cognitive impairments. The program is comprised of two modules AttenFocus for improving all aspects of attention, focus and concentration, and AttenMemory for improving all aspects of memory as well as content processing.
Who is AttenGo for?
AttenGo is suitable for children and adults who are experiencing attention, concentration and/or memory problems related to various conditions, such as ADD/ADHD, learning disabilities, dyslexia and memory loss associated with injury or aging, see the complete list. AttenGo effectively treats both light and severe conditions.
What ages is AttenGo suitable for?
AttenGo has different treatment programs for different age groups. We offer programs for children aged 6 and up, as well as students of all ages and adults. However, age is just one factor. We also look at the scope of problems and their severity, and adjust the program accordingly.
How are all these factors assessed and evaluated?
We have created a sophisticated assessment protocol that identifies individual problems and the severity of these problems. Based on the results of this assessment, our system customizes an effective treatment program catering to the specific needs of each individual.
What’s included in the assessment?
The assessment process consists of two parts:
First, you grade the level of symptoms for each condition listed in our questionnaire enabling our system to evaluate each problem and its extent. The final part of the assessment includes 8-10 minutes of training on certain program levels enabling us to evaluate the general performance level of the user. The results of both parts of the assessment help us determine which program is most suitable for each user.
What does training involve?
Training involves working on a computer and performing what we call “cognitive tasks.” Individual program training entails identification of patterns, changes in movement, colors as well as work with basic shapes, tones, and much more.
How frequently do I need to train?
4 to 5 times a week for 25-30 minutes would be ideal. We recommend no less than two training sessions per week. Young children usually start with 5 to 10 minutes of training and gradually extend the time to 15-20 minutes and even up to half an hour a day.
Is training like playing a video game?
Not at all. Playing video games cannot solve fundamental cognitive problems. If it did, there would be very few children with ADD, as most children play these games for hours almost every day. The unique AttenGo program simulates what we call “low stimulation environments.” Many individuals with attention deficits can focus well when the level of stimulation is high, but perform poorly when low stimulation is involved. For instance, learning new material, reading, listening to the teacher in the classroom are all examples of low stimulation environments. Our training emulates these environments to enable users to generalize results and apply them in every area of life where cognitive processing is required.
What is the difference between AttenGo and other programs?
AttenGo is a unique training program based on technological breakthroughs that simultaneously works on two levels: normalizing brain wave activity and improving fundamental cognitive skills, such as working memory and executive functions (planning, organization, self-control).
All this is done through training that is easy and has absolutely NO side effects.
What makes AttenGo so effective?
Our cognitive technology based on years of clinical experience gets to the root of the problem and not just skims the surface. The program does not teach coping skills, but resolves problems so that coping skills become superfluous.
There are several programs on the market that help improve reading or behavioral skills, but they do not extend to the root of the problems. AttenGo solves problems on a neuro-cognitive level making it much easier to process information, store data and recall it as well as to focus, pay attention, and concentrate whenever necessary.
How long does it take to see results?
You will begin noticing changes within a few weeks of starting to train and within 2 to 3 months improvements in concentration, focus, attention and memory will become evident. Most individuals complete the program within 3 to 6 months.
What happens after I complete the program?
Although it is not required, many individuals may choose to continue training after completing the program in order to further improve their cognitive skills.
Are there any side effects?
None whatsoever because training is non-invasive. AttenGo works in tandem with the way the brain functions, therefore there are no side effects. In fact, there are many positive side benefits, including improved mood, better behavioral control, better sleep and many others. Additional benefits include clarity, ability to make decisions, prioritize and organize. Use this link to see a complete list of benefits.
Is AttenGo easy to use?
Absolutely. The program has been designed for easy use and understanding.

Will my child like it?
Yes. Children like challenging cognitive tasks. They like to improve scores and they like to move from level to level and tackle new challenges. In addition, once a child begins to realize that he/she can think more clearly, he/she becomes motivated to continue the program until its successful completion.
Does the same program treat various conditions?
Definitely not. We adjust programs according to age, specific challenges and levels of difficulties on the basis of our comprehensive assessment.
Can a program cure my child’s ADHD?
Although ADD and ADHD are regarded as conditions that cannot be cured, their severity can indeed be reduced. Training with AttenGo will, no doubt, bring about significant changes. Such changes include improvement of cognitive functions and behavior as well as reduction in hyperactivity & impulsivity, and many others.
Will the changes remain long term?
There comes a moment during AttenGo training when the brain “gets” it. Following this stage, learning integrates on a deeper level and usually the child will not revert to old patterns. It is similar to learning how to ride a bicycle. Once the brain learns how to keep the balance to prevent falling down, it will know how to do it repeatedly. This kind of skill cannot be forgotten.
Do I need to stay with my child during training?
We recommend staying with younger kids at least in the beginning to make sure that the child is following instructions. Once the child gets the hang of it, such supervision is usually no longer required. Kids with more severe learning disabilities may, however, need additional guidance.
How can I help my child during the process?
You can help your child by offering encouragement and reassurance. Acknowledging effort and progress can go a long way.
Should I discontinue my child’s medication?
No. Initially, the child should start training while still on medication although we recommend that training be performed when the medication wears off, for instance later in the day. As the child progresses, and in consultation with the child’s physician, you will be able to reduce dosages. We have seen many cases where kids stopped taking medication completely as a result of our specialized cognitive training. Your child will improve whether on medication or not.
What does language independent mean?
Language independent means that there is no need for language or math skills to perform the various cognitive tasks. This is very important because AttenGo operates on the neurological level that is independent of content. This innovative approach has proven to be very effective in terms of how fast results can be achieved, since it enables the brain to generalize the results to any area involving cognitive processing.
What does pre-language mean?
Pre-language is the ability to work with letters, words, numbers and basic equations while improving concentration. Training on this level identified by our clinicians has proved to be very beneficial for anyone with a learning disability, difficulties in reading, writing and math.
How long does it take to complete the program?
It varies from individual to individual and depends on the scope & severity of problems as well as frequency of practice. Most training programs can be completed within 3 to 6 months.
What happens after the program is completed?
There are two options: the first is to stop training after you achieve the desired improvement and it is perfectly fine. The second option is to proceed with more advanced levels to be able to continue and improve the general potential of the brain. Brain research and studies have indicated that we use less than 10% of our brain's potential. Our training is a sure way to get more from it.
My child is very bright but just cannot concentrate. Will this program work well for him/her?
Yes, definitely. The program will enable your child to improve key aspects of concentration, thus enabling him/her to use his/her intelligence in practical ways.
My child is very smart. Will the program be suitable for his level of intelligence?
It is important to understand that training with AttenGo focuses on improving cognitive skills. Since your child is having attention related problems, the training will be challenging enough for him.
My child does not have ADD or ADHD, can he/she benefit from the program?
Absolutely. Using the AttenGo program will enable your child to further improve attention, concentration and memory skills. This, in turn, will result in better academic and athletic performance, if the child is involved in sports. The child will remember better, process information faster, and will solve mathematical equations faster than the average child.
How does the program help athletes?
The program helps athletes by training them in sustaining focus on a consistent basis. We all know that when an athlete loses focus, he/she loses the ability to score or do well in general, but when the focus is there they do extremely well. Athletes refer to this as “being in the zone.” Training with AttenGo will teach the brain how to focus at will, whenever needed, and to sustain the necessary concentration as long as required. This will always yield enhanced performance on the field.
How does AttenGo help overcome learning disabilities?
AttenGo has shown to be very beneficial to individuals with different types of learning disabilities. This occurs on two levels: first, improving concentration, focus and memory skills, and second, improving neuro-cognitive skills that support reading, writing and math skills. In addition, there will be an improvement in executive functions, which are normally impaired in this population. What kind of support do you offer?
We provide both technical and professional support, and you can contact us using our special support system to ask questions or report problems that we will help troubleshoot. If you or your child are having difficulties with any of the program levels, please inform us and we will suggest a solution. We will work with you and/or your child until the successful completion of the program.
How do I know that my child is progressing?
There are 2 ways to identify progress:
The system generates extensive scores and tracks the child’s progress. You will be able to see these scores (and we suggest that you monitor them frequently) using our graphic-statistical module.
You will also notice that the child will gradually become calmer, better able to concentrate, spend more time preparing homework, will need less help with homework and will be more organized. You may also receive feedback from teachers who may comment on the child’s improvement both behaviorally as well as academically.
Can I or my child do more than one session a day?
It is possible to do more than one session a day, however a break between sessions of no less than one hour is needed.
Can I use the program off line?
No you can’t. The program is Internet based so you have to be connected to the Internet during training.
Is the program suitable for color-blind individuals?
No. AttenGo program is not suitable for color-blind individuals, unless the condition is mild. For instance, the user needs to identify a color change, but not which colors are invloved.
What are the computer specifications required for the program?
Internet Connection PC Pentium III and Up Memory RAM 256MB and up Display card Windows 98, 2000, XP, Vista Explorer 6.0 and up Shockwave Player download here (Free) Flash 5.0 Player download here (Free)
