Cognitive Impairment in Stroke Patients

Stroke is regarded as the leading cause of disability in the US. Over 50% of people undergoing stroke experience varying degrees of cognitive impairment. Such difficulties include: memory loss and especially short term memory, confusion, lack of attention and slow processing.

According to the British Geriatrics Society (2002), 40% of post stroke patients in a study group (N=112) suffered from language problems, 26% experienced visual inattention, and 52% had executive deficits.

Improvement of cognitive function is a very important part of the rehabilitation process. It allows an individual to resume daily activities, returning to work and even resume driving.

AttenGoTM addresses most aspects of this process, including working memory and short term memory, attention & concentration, improving sensory-motor abilities and enhancing processing speed.

In addition, AttenGoTM uses an innovative approach (patent pending) to train different areas of the brain to facilitate a more complete recovery. Learn more on the benefits of training with AttenGo.
